You should take a chill pill….Leave it alone It was a joke you darn baby. I will remove my post not to upset someone so caring for others in the world.. Why not do something more productive and get a life. Goosh people like you just do not get life. Only to complain
who are you the fashion police. He is not a model, he is a woodworker who is trying to share his love of the craft not his sense of style. Shame on you, for even taking the time to insult someone else!
I am a beginner, and a woman, I have been self teaching myself woodworking. I bought the KREG JIG K3 STANDARD PACK. All the other video’s I saw only showed the upgraded jigs. I could care less about his credentials, I just wanted someone to show me the basics. If you feel good enough to criticize, then move on, I appreciated the down to earth, simple instructions!!! Some of us are just learning & do not have an entire workshop. Thank you for putting yourself out there, you helped me !!
If he is so professional why not do this vid. in HD where it doesn’t cause eye strain? Oh and he could use a script/outline/general topic list to aide in his monotone boreing presentation. 2 stars
Can the Kreg drill bit be sharpened?
Yes. Kreg offers factory sharpening for Kreg drill bits only. Kreg recommends sharpening the bit every 2500 holes. To use the Kreg service, package the bit securely and send it along with a $4.00 check for the first bit (includes return freight) and $2.00 for each additional bit:
Kreg Tool Co.
201 Campus Drive
Huxley, IA 50124
Attn: Drill Sharpening
Include your return address to get the bit back. Expect a processing time of 1 week plus shipping time.
From Kreg: Eventually, your drill bit will need to be sharpened/replaced. To prolong the life, follow these steps:
•Use a corded drill rated 2000 rpm or above
•Place the bit into the Drill Guide 1 or 2 inches before spinning up the drill
•Make sure drill is up to full speed before plunging into workpiece
You can expect to get between 2000 and 3000 holes with your bit when working with oak material. Drill bit life will vary depending on material composition and speed of drill rotation.
Charles doesn’t do marketing videos for *woodcraftmarketing*? LOL Hey maybe he really IS the best presenter since Ron Popeil but in this instance he needed to get more familiar with the product before pitching it. When he drills the holes in the demo you can clearly see the holes exited the workpiece–not recommended per the instructions. And just what the heck is “adverse coloring” in wood? LOL
Charles Neil’s videos are always that way…you just get used to it after a while and appreciate his monster skills rather than lack of video hosting. If he says its good, its good…if he says its bad, its bad…mmmmmkay
The camera work is bad, and the host needs to think out what he’ll say beforehand. But I think they’re intentionally trying to present him as an “Average Joe.”
Charles Neil does not do Marketing videos… I can guarantee he didn’t get paid for this. This is how all of his videos are. He’s got a unique personality, and it’s one of the reasons he’s so popular.
BTW, I own the K3 Kreg Jig, and it is awesome! Best money I have ever spend for woodworkign. I recommend you give it a try.
Also, the hole is not even centered on the piece that will take the tip of the screw, so you wouldn’t be getting the best leverage on the available wood. Finally, you just get a sense that the guy is selling the Kreg product like they might have sponsored this. Just sick of the marketing and the cost of these things. Why not do something useful like show how to make one out of wood, woodworker?
I am an amateur woodworker. I bought the master system for about 150$. IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!! Charles is not kidding ! This will save time ,effort and produce great joints!

you shouldn’t push on your drill when drilling. when I was drilling I pushed on my drill and it broke the bit

This is unbearable to watch like most of this guy’s videos. Too slow moving with too little helpful information.
